Zero rhinos poached in Assam in 2025: CM Sarma on World Rhino Day

On the occasion of World Rhino Day, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "Because of our efforts, the incidents of poaching of rhinos in Kaziranga National Park have been reduced to zero." "Assam is proud to host nearly 80% of the world's rhino population," he added. His remarks come as Assam recorded zero known rhino poaching incidents in 2025.
