Zim win their T20 WC 2026 opener, beat Oman with 39 balls to spare

Zimbabwe won their T20 World Cup 2026 opener against Oman by eight wickets at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo on Monday. After opting to bowl first, Zimbabwe dismissed Oman for 103 in 19.5 overs, with pacers Richard Ngarava, Blessing Muzarabani and Brad Evans claiming three wickets each. In reply, Zimbabwe chased down the target with 39 balls to spare.
