Zomato drops rain surcharge waiver from Gold benefits for users

Zomato removed the surge fee waiver for their Gold members during rains, according to in-app notification. Starting May 16, Gold members, who were previously exempt from paying any additional amount, will be required to pay surge fees during rainy weather. Zomato-parent Eternal Limited reported a 78% year-on-year decline in quarterly profit after tax (PAT) at ₹39 crore in Q4 FY25.
