Zomato shares gain nearly 4% in early trade after acquiring Blinkit

Shares of Zomato briefly gained nearly 4% in early trade on Monday after the company’s board approved the acquisition of Blinkit. The stock was trading up by 3.7% at ₹73 today against the previous close of ₹70.35 on BSE. On Friday, after market hours, Zomato informed about its acquisition of Blinkit for ₹4,447.48 crore in an all-stock deal.
