Zomato starts charging ₹5 fee on cash-on-delivery orders

Zomato has begun charging customers an additional ₹5 for choosing cash on delivery, Moneycontrol reported after reviewing app listings. The 'Pay on delivery fee' appears separately in bill summary and isn't charged on online payments. In some cases, users were charged ₹7 to ₹20, Moneycontrol said. The fee is separate from Zomato's platform fee, restaurant packaging charges and applicable GST.
