Zomato terminates nearly 5,000 gig workers a month: Deepinder Goyal

Zomato terminates nearly 5,000 gig workers each month, mainly over fraud cases, CEO Deepinder Goyal said on a podcast. Additionally, around 1.5-2 lakh workers leave voluntarily from its 7.5-lakh workforce. The company also onboards a similar number monthly to replace those exiting. His statement came days after gig workers went on strike during New Year's Eve over unfavourable working conditions.
