'Zombie deer disease' spreading in US, scientists say 'could evolve to infect humans'
Scientists in Canada are concerned about the rapid spread of a fatal infection known as the "zombie deer disease" or chronic wasting disease in the US. The affected deers are left drooling, stumbling, lethargic and with a blank stare. Hermann Schaetzl from University of Calgary's veterinary school said, "In our experimental models, it's very likely that CWD can infect humans."
