₹100, 50, 20, 10, 5, 2, 1 notes and coins still valid: Modi

The currency notes and coins of ₹100, ₹50, ₹20, ₹10, ₹5, ₹2, and ₹1 denominations remain legal and can be used for financial transactions, the Prime Minister's Office declared. This comes amid PM Modi's announcement of invalidating the ₹500 and ₹1000 currency notes from November 8 midnight. The PM also urged people to help the government in fighting black money.
