₹25,000 monthly salary is among top 10% incomes earned in India: Report

A monthly salary of ₹25,000 is among the top 10% of incomes earned in India, The State of Inequality Report released by the Economic Advisory Council to the PM (EAC-PM) has said. Citing the 2018-19 and 2019-20 data from the Periodic Labour Force Survey, the report said nearly 15% of the working population earned less than ₹5,000 per month.
