₹34 crore 'blood money' raised to save Kerala man from death penalty in Saudi Arabia

Natives of Kerala across the world have crowdfunded ₹34 crore to meet the 'blood money' to enable the release of a Kozhikode native facing the death penalty in Saudi Arabia. Abdur Rahim, who was sentenced for the accidental death of a 15-year-old boy, has been in prison for last 18 years. April 16 was the deadline for paying the money.
