₹850 invested in TCS IPO in 2004 is worth ₹28,000 today: Chandrasekaran

Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran on Thursday said that one share of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) purchased for ₹850 during the IPO in 2004 would be worth ₹28,000 today. Speaking at the company's Annual General Meeting, Chandrasekaran said this would mean a 3,000% return on investment in 17 years. He added that TCS navigated the COVID-19 pandemic "successfully".
