Twitter India MD Manish Maheshwari said that India will see an increase in the number of smartphone users to 1.1 billion, consuming 18GB data per day by 2024. He added that increase in internet use has enhanced consumer participation in brand marketing. Maheshwari, who was previously the CEO of Network18, was appointed as Twitter India's MD in April this year.
