All 16 auto-rickshaw unions in Pune district on Saturday unanimously decided to start an indefinite strike from Monday (December 12). The unions blamed the district administration and the state government for failing to crack down on illegal bike taxis. The auto unions had staged a day-long protest on November 28. However, the strike was called off following assurances from officials.
