Assam government has registered as many as 251 sedition cases since May 26, 2016, the Assembly was informed on Monday. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary said that these cases have been filed against militant groups such as Dima Halam Daogah and Zeliangrong United Front, among others. Such cases were also registered against several individuals, Patowary added.
