A 36-foot whale carcass washed up on Mandarmani beach in West Bengal's East Midnapore district on Monday. The local Mandarmani police station and state forest department arrived at the spot and are examining the carcass to ascertain the cause of death. The whale reportedly had injury marks on its body.
