A recent survey found that around 72% of consumers don't want the government to ban or intervene in flash sales on e-commerce sites like Amazon and Flipkart. The survey received responses from 82,000 consumers across 394 districts in India. The Ministry of Consumer Affairs on June 21 released draft e-commerce rules under which it suggested a ban on "flash sales".
