Six security officials were killed in a Taliban attack on a police checkpoint in Khasrod district in Nimroz province, Afghanistan on Thursday, and two more officers lost their lives in a similar attack in Baghlan province, as per reports. The attack on the checkpoint was carried out by dozens of Taliban fighters, officials said, adding that Taliban also suffered casualties.
