A ninth 'critically endangered' black rhino has been reported dead after a failed operation to move the animals to a new reserve in southern Kenya. Eight rhinos were initially reported dead by officials, following last month's attempt to transfer 11 animals from Nairobi and Lake Nakuru national parks. Preliminary reports suggest that their cause of death was drinking "saline water".
