Thane Police have rescued a nine-year-old boy who was kidnapped for a ransom of ₹40 lakh on September 8 and arrested the four accused. "The accused had befriended the boy by playing cricket with him and giving him chocolates and candies," police said. "The accused knew the boy's family. One of them was the father's business partner," they added.
