A group of 19 Indians, allegedly targeted by the Pegasus spyware via WhatsApp, have written an open letter to the government asking it to reveal any contracts with Israel's NSO Group, the spyware's deployer. The group, including activists, questioned whether the government spent taxpayers' money on such cyber-surveillance. Earlier, NSO said it only sold Pegasus to "legitimate" government agencies.
