Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar said that agricultural research played an important role in tackling the problem of food security and improving the income of farmers. Addressing a session at the G-20 Agriculture Ministerial meeting, Tomar said that research contributes significantly to the three aspects of food security - availability, access, affordability.
