Air pollution doubles amid Dussehra celebrations in Delhi

Air pollution levels rose in Delhi on Dussehra, nearly doubling the concentration of pollutants at five monitoring stations after 6 pm on Sunday. At Patparganj, the concentration of PM10 rose from 277 µg/m3 at 6 pm to 509 µg/m3 at 9 pm. At Mundka, PM2.5 concentration increased from 110 µg/m3 at 6 pm to 271 µg/m3 at 9 pm.
