The Cabinet today approved Ordinance amending the Salary, Allowances and Pension of Members of Parliament Act, 1954, reducing allowances and pension of MPs, PM and ministers by 30% with effect from April 1, 2020 for a year. The President, Vice President, Governors have also voluntarily decided to take a 30% pay cut for one year, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar announced.
