Amazon changed product search to favour more profitable products: WSJ

Amazon tweaked its product-search algorithm to favour more profitable products, The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday quoting Amazon employees. It said the move may have favoured Amazon's own brands to appear in the product search, adding that the algorithm was modified late last year. However, Amazon denied any such change to the algorithm to favour profitability or own products.
