Apple to pay $571 mn in back-dated taxes to France: Reports

Technology giant Apple has reached an agreement to pay nearly $571 million to French authorities to settle back-dated taxes, reports said. Apple confirmed the agreement but did not disclose the amount to be paid. In 2016, the European Union directed Apple to pay about $15 billion to Ireland, citing that the company received illegal tax benefits from the Irish government.
