Students from Assam have filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. "In the interest of the safety of lakhs of students...it's better to cancel the exams," the petition stated. The government's statement that examinations will be held if COVID-19 positivity rate is below 2% has "no relevance", it added.
