NASA released an image of the 500-metre-wide asteroid Bennu, the smallest celestial object ever orbited, revealing it is shooting particles into space. The image of Bennu, which has a one-in-2,700 chance of hitting Earth in the next century, was taken by NASA's first-ever asteroid sample return mission OSIRIS-REx. The first such particle explosion on Bennu was discovered on January 6.
