A 26-year-old Bengaluru woman, Lakshmi Priya, allegedly died by suicide after her family accused her police constable husband and in-laws of physical and mental harassment linked to dowry demands. Before her death, she reportedly sent her phone password to her sister, raising suspicions. Police have filed a case under the Dowry Prohibition Act and BNS and launched an investigation.
