US President-elect Joe Biden has appointed Kurt Campbell as his coordinator for the Indo-Pacific region at the White House National Security Council (NSC), a spokeswoman said on Wednesday. Campbell had served as a diplomat in the US administration led by Barack Obama. He is considered one of the architects of the Obama administration's "pivot to Asia" strategy, Reuters reported.
