Republican Congressman Andy Biggs has introduced a bill in the US Congress to terminate Pakistan's designation as a 'Major non-NATO ally'. The bill states that for future redesignation, the US President must certify to the Congress that Pakistan continues to conduct operations to disrupt the safe haven and freedom of movement of the Haqqani Network militant group in the country.
