Biodegradable sensor to monitor blood flow in arteries made

Stanford University researchers have developed a wireless, battery-free, biodegradable sensor to monitor blood flow through an artery after blood vessel surgery. The sensor wraps around the healing vessel, where blood pulsing past pushes on its inner surface. Any irregularities in the blood vessel can be detected remotely from a device located near the skin but outside the body, scientists said.
