Maharashtra BJP councillor Dheeraj Digambar Pathe has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman for the last three years and trying to extort ₹5 lakh from her when she refused to marry him. After she repeatedly turned down his demands, the accused also opened a Facebook account in her name and started sending objectionable messages through it to defame her.
