Reacting to the ₹52,619 crore budget presented by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), former Maharashtra minister Aaditya Thackeray said that budget is for contractors. He said, "Maharashtra has got nothing in the budget...It seems to be a copy-paste budget...Does the commissioner have the right to spend ₹1,700 crore on the beautification of Mumbai?"
