Bombay High Court on Wednesday allowed Johnson and Johnson (J&J) to restart manufacturing of its baby talcum powder at their Mulund unit. The High Court directed Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to test fresh samples. However, the ban imposed by FDA on sale and distribution remains in force. On September 15, FDA cancelled J&J's baby talcum powder manufacturing licence.
