Boy's body floats to India from PoK; Army breaks protocol to return it
short by Arshiya Chopra / on Friday, 12 July, 2019
Indian Army broke protocol on humanitarian grounds to return the body of seven-year-old boy from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir, who floated in a river to J&K's Gurez. Fearing the body would decompose, Indian and Pakistani Armies met in Gurez instead of official exchange points like Teetwal, which is 200 km away. The officials reportedly navigated through minefield area to reach the meeting point.
