A new study has revealed that breathing in polluted air can contribute to neurological damage. Researchers have discovered a possible direct path, which the inhaled toxic particles use, to travel to the brain via bloodstream. As these particles travel through blood circulation, once there, they stay longer in brain than in other main metabolic organs, potentially contributing to brain disorders.
