A British satellite has successfully demonstrated how to capture space debris using its net technology for the first time. Designed to clean up thousands of potentially dangerous pieces of trash orbiting the Earth, it used a net to capture a deployed target simulating a piece of space debris. The experimental phase of the spacecraft's mission began on September 16.
