According to India-Thailand's extradition treaty, extradition can be sought for a person who is wanted for a trial. The treaty says that offences should be punishable in both nations. An extradition request has to be made in writing. Notably, Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra, brothers and owners of Birch by Romeo Lane, fled to Thailand after a fire killed 25 people.
