Canada, Australia and several other countries are in talks with the United Nations (UN) to grant asylum to Saudi Arabia's 18-year-old Rahaf Mohammed al-Qunun who fled her alleged abusive family, Thai police said. Rahaf was granted refugee status by the UN earlier this week. She is currently under the care of the UN refugee agency, UNHCR, in Thailand.
