The Delhi High Court has said that authorities cannot deny passport to an Indian citizen because they have applied for asylum in a foreign country. The court said this while hearing a plea by three individuals whose applications were rejected on grounds that they “are likely to engage in activities prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India”.
