During his Independence Day speech, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel announced reservation of 32% for STs, 13% for SCs and 27% for OBCs in state education and jobs. This leads to an overall reservation of 72%, which is 22% above the 50% limit set by Supreme Court. Previous figures stood at 32% for STs, 12% for SCs and 14% for OBCs.
