China has allocated $8.74 billion to help contain the outbreak of new coronavirus in the country, its finance ministry said. The government also extended the Lunar New Year holiday while big businesses urged their staff to work from home or shut their operations. The death toll from the virus rose to over 80 and infected over 2,700 in China.
