A study published recently has called for retraction of over 400 English-language researches on Chinese organ transplantation amid fears the organs were obtained unethically. The study's authors said researches "may contain data obtained from prisoners...killed for the purpose of organ acquisition". A 2016 report had claimed number of transplants reported by government and hospitals did not match.
