China's state-owned carmaker Chery is in advanced discussions with Tata Motors for a potential alliance in the Indian market, as per reports. The nature of the partnership and the time for Chery's entry into India is yet to be finalised, reports said. Notably, Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover and Chery have an equal joint venture in China since 2012.
