Coca-Cola is testing new recyclable paper-and-cardboard carriers in Europe for six-packs of PET bottles (brands like Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Mezzo Mix). The packaging replaces plastic shrink-wrap with a corrugated paper handle and paper band. The pilot, developed with DS Smith and Krones, could cut about 200 tonnes of plastic annually in Austria alone.
