Citing a CAG report, the Congress on Thursday accused Union Minister Smriti Irani of "fraud" in MPLAD funds in Gujarat. It added, "Does (PM) Modi have the courage of conviction to sack Smriti Irani or will he continue to harbour corrupt leaders." The Congress accused Irani of making a payment of nearly ₹6 crore from MPLAD funds without a tender.
