Pope Francis has criticised laws criminalising the members of the LGBT community and said, "Criminalising people with homosexual tendencies is an injustice." The Pope added, "[They] are children of God. God loves them." He made these comments while returning from South Sudan, a country that penalises homosexual acts. Francis also called the criminalisation of homosexuality a "problem".
