Critically endangered turtle rescued from drain in Mumbai; pics surface

Wildlife rescuers RAWW along with the forest department on Friday rescued a 13 kg critically endangered Leith's softshell Turtle from a drain in Mumbai. RAWW said that the turtle has no external injuries and further test results are awaited after which it will be released back into the wild. It is protected under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 in India.
