Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday said that the defence corridors at Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu will generate 3.5 lakh jobs at various stages of the supply chain. "Investments worth ₹3,200 crore have already been announced in the Tamil Nadu corridor," she added. "The purpose of the corridor is to revive Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs)," she further said.
