Delhi HC on Tuesday dismissed the PIL challenging the appointment of Rakesh Asthana as Delhi Police Commissioner and extension of his service. Supreme Court in August had asked the HC to decide within two weeks the plea pending before it against Asthana's appointment. Asthana had earlier told HC that the petitions are a "personal vendetta or a proxy war".
